AREA OF SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS
Involved in research on lichen taxonomy, ecology and biodiversity, especially of crustose lichens (Europe, Neotropics). Interested in bioindicative potential of lichens for assessment of nativeness of old-growth forests. Coauthor of the Red-and Checklist of lichen of the Czech Republic; author of the recent synthesis on the lichen flora of the Czech Republic in the Book Series “Plant and Vegetation”. Co- authored 44 SCI papers dealing with various aspects of lichenology based mainly on own field research. H-Index=13.
